ElizabethAnn Johnson learned about Bay State Council of the Blind from member Rosemary Miller and joined the organization in 2017. She joined because she loves the diversity of the organization and what it brings to people of all backgrounds.
As a member of BSCB, ElizabethAnn especially values collaborating/working with others, the friendliness and mutual support, the diversity/differences between ethnic backgrounds, building inclusivity and the spirit of camaraderie. When asked what she would like to get from her affiliation with BSCB, ElizabethAnn said she would like to learn more about ACB policies and programs and to grow more in the organization.
ElizabethAnn thinks being a member of our organization means gaining more knowledge about its history and operation, helping others up the ladder to reach their potential, being confident with their blindness, and not letting blindness define them.
ElizabethAnn’s hobbies and interests include dining out, visiting historic places, swimming, stage plays and movies, tandem bike riding, hiking, traveling and swimming. She enjoys spending her time being Chairperson of our Social Committee and coordinating its events, reading, listening to music and talking on the phone.
