Upon the 50th anniversary of BSCB, you are cordially invited to our 2026 Spring Conference and Convention which will take place on Saturday, May 16 in hybrid fashion: In-person at the Burlington Marriott Hotel, and remotely via Zoom. The hotel address is One Burlington Mall Road, Burlington.
In-person registration will begin at 8:45 AM. For remote attendees, the Zoom Room will open at 9:15 AM. The conference will start promptly at 9:30 AM and end at 5 PM.
The registration fee for in-person participants is $25 to defray refreshment, lunch, and dinner costs. Given that this fee is well below actual meal and hotel costs, and BSCB is subsidizing the difference, in-person registration is limited to BSCB members. There is no such limit on remote participation.
Those BSCB members wishing to reserve a hotel room for Saturday evening will be able to do so. We plan on having informative sessions on an array of topics, as well as our annual business meeting and awards ceremony.
All BSCB members who have registered will be able to participate in our election of Board officers and voting on proposed resolutions.
Hotel Reservations
We are pleased to share some good news regarding the upcoming BSCB Convention on May 16 at the Marriott Hotel in Burlington.
The BSCB Board has approved a hotel room subsidy to help offset the cost for members attending the convention.
Reservation Summary
Room Rate: $209 per night plus 11.7% Massachusetts hotel tax
Subsidy: $150 per room available for the first 20 rooms reserved for Saturday night
Reservation Deadline: Thursday, April 16, 2026
Members who would find this assistance helpful are welcome to take advantage of the subsidy, while those who prefer not to use it may simply reserve a room without the subsidy so that it remains available for others.
Reserve your hotel room using the link below:

Members who prefer to reserve by phone may call the hotel reservations line at (888) 855-7741.
Members who wish to use the $150 subsidy may find it easiest to reserve by phone and let the hotel know that they would like the subsidy applied to their reservation. The subsidy will be applied to the first 20 rooms reserved for Saturday night.
If you reserve a room, please let us know so we can keep track of how many rooms are being booked. You may notify either Jeanette Kutash at kutash-jm@comcast.net, or Nona Haroyan at nharoyan@charter.net.
We look forward to seeing everyone in May!

How to Register
There are several ways for you to register. You can register electronically by filling out the form at the following link:
Register for the 2026 BSCB Spring Conference and Convention
After submitting your completed form, a message will pop up with a link to a PayPal page for paying your $25 registration fee. In-person attendees should open the link and pay the fee. Remote participants can ignore this pop up.
You can also leave a voicemail on our Philmore line at (773) 572-6312 indicating that you would like to give your registration information over the phone. You will receive a call back within 48 hours and you can give your payment and lunch choice information then.
If you wish to pay by cash or check on the day of the conference, you can also indicate this by leaving a voicemail on the Philmore line. Please leave your name and phone number so we can confirm to you that we received your message. We prefer you prepay because it makes our administrative job easier.
All in-person registrations must be done in-advance. No same-day in-person registrations will be allowed because of the need to preplan meal orders.
Remote registrants will be emailed Zoom information a few days before the conference.
Assisted Listening Devices
Please also note that assistive listening devices will be available. Email BSCB President David Kingsbury if you would like to reserve one (davidkingsbury77@gmail.com). We will have somebody available to show you how to operate it on the day of the conference.
Convention Sponsorships
BSCB is subsidizing the convention at a hefty financial cost. Help us defray these costs with a sponsorship at the following levels:
- Bronze – $25
- Silver – $50
- Gold $75
- Sapphire – $100
- Emerald – $200
- $500 or more – platinum
To make a sponsorship, open the following link and specify the amount:

The generosity of each individual sponsor will be acknowledged at the convention.
Door Prizes
Throughout the day, we will be awarding door prizes to both in-person and remote registrants, provided that they are BSCB members. For the most part, these will be small gift certificates.
Availability of a BSCB Transportation Subsidy
In recognition of the difficulty that BSCB members have in traveling across regional transit authority zones to attend BSCB events, the Board has established a transportation subsidy policy. If you are coming to the Convention from outside the MBTA zone, you may be reimbursed up to $100 for this cost. It will be reimbursed only after you have participated in the convention.
Elements of the policy are:
- Only BSCB members in good standing are eligible for the subsidy.
- Reimbursement is limited to travel to BSCB statewide events: the Spring convention, the Fall conference, and Social Committee-organized events. Chapter-sponsored events are not included.
- A member may request up to $100 per event and must submit their reimbursement through this Transportation Subsidy Request Google Form. Reimbursement is for actual travel costs. It is not a flat rate.
- The $100 per event limit does not mean that the subsidy covers two $100 fares of a roundtrip, but a maximum of up to $100 per event.
Pooled travel among members is encouraged in order to save costs. If an individual member pays for a pooled trip for themselves as well as for several other members, reimbursement may be requested up to the maximum of $100 per member.
Conference Program
Registration will begin at 8:45 AM, followed by the general session, beginning promptly at 9:30 AM. The conference will conclude at 5 PM. The day’s agenda is already well-developed, although still subject to minor modifications. It will be sent out separately in just a few days.
As the date approaches, we will send further announcements with the definitive program agenda, Zoom information, instructions on how voting will be conducted, and the slate of Nominations Committee-proposed candidates.
We look forward to seeing you bright and early on May 16, either in Burlington or over Zoom. If you have any questions, feel free to email BSCB President David Kingsbury at davidkingsbury77@gmail.com.
